Founded in 1970 by a group of law students and attorneys, The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) has grown to over 500 scientists, lawyers and policy advocates across the globe with a simple mission to protect people’s rights to clean air, clean water and healthy communities. With over seven offices around the world they are at the forefront of the environmental movement to safeguard the earth.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Our client has experienced phenomenal growth over the 15 years we have been supporting their Santa Monica office. It has grown from several consultants and contractors to an Enterprise class IT operation. With central support being managed from New York, we have developed a seamless working relationship with the client’s internal IT staff to become an extension of their team. One of their key offices is located in Santa Monica, California. With high profile cases and meetings, availability of computing resources is an absolute necessity for the staff in this office.

OUR SOLUTIONS

A complex IT infrastructure needs the right resources available to them when they need it most. From managing their Cisco network infrastructure and virtual/physical HP Servers to handling their helpdesk for their endusers, we provide an end-to-end solution for their IT needs.

We have worked with their internal team to consult and build out their server room. From the firewall, switches, servers and desktops, we constructed a datacenter that tied into the rest of their corporate WAN.

With our IT Consulting services, we have provided support for their Microsoft Exchange® environment to provide Tier 3 expertise to identify and resolve issues rapidly without the need for a dedicated technology specialist and to rollout Microsoft Lync® to over 150 users in two remote offices.

With our Staff Augmentation services, we provide day to day onsite support coverage for all of the endusers. When projects are rolled out, we provide additional staff, specialists in their respective technologies to assist the internal IT staff to expedite a project or provide the right technical resource.

RESULT

Even for Enterprise level internal IT departments, it is difficult to have the right technical expertise or find and maintain a consistent resource especially when they need it most. Techmedics partners with our client’s internal IT department to fill in the where they lack technical skillsets and to provide the manpower to support their endusers or execute a project in a timely manner.
